Gather ’round – *Holiday Inn “At the Pavilion” has your 2022 guide for the best Myrtle Beach Christmas lights. From Little River to Georgetown, the Grand Strand shines bright during the holiday season. No matter what the weather, there are indoor and outdoor light displays for you to enjoy. We’ve created a list of the must-see Myrtle Beach Christmas lights from the north end to the south end of the Grand Strand.

THE GREAT CHRISTMAS LIGHT SHOW

North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex, 150 Citizens Circle, North Myrtle Beach, SC

Ages one through ninety-two will marvel at the Great Christmas Light Show, with more than two million lights displayed along a two-mile drive. Once you’ve seen the 500-plus magical light displays, park your car and head over to Santa’s Village. Guests can enjoy a petting zoo, hot chocolate, s’mores, and photos with Santa.

  • Drive-Through Experience: Now until Dec. 30, closed Christmas Day. Open 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. 
  • Santa’s Village: Thurs. – Sun. until Dec. 11, then open nightly (closed Christmas Day)
  • $15 per vehicle when Santa’s Village is closed, up to 15 passengers.
  • $20 per vehicle when Santa’s Village is open, up to 15 passengers.

RIPLEY’S AQUARIUM FESTIVAL OF TREES

Celebrate with your underwater friends this holiday season at Ripley’s Aquarium. Ripley’s features 55 decorated Christmas trees throughout the aquarium. Each state in the US, plus each territory, has a tree decorated to represent it. Test your knowledge of the United States with a Christmas tree scavenger hunt.

WINTER WONDERLAND AT THE BEACH

Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Place, 812 N Ocean Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577

Join the seasonal fun at Winter Wonderland at the Beach. Visit the Winter Wonderland Lights Display, a beach-themed holiday-inspired walking light display. The light display is free, and this year marks the opening of the brand new Family Fun Zone. Tickets to the Fun Zone are $1, and get you access to s’mores stations, street curling, and a snow angel yard. Or, purchase a wristband for $5 to get unlimited admission to all Winter Wonderland attractions. Guests are invited to stroll the Boardwalk, taking in the festive décor and live entertainment at restaurants and storefronts throughout.

CELEBRATION OF LIGHTS

Marina Drive in Downtown Conway, SC

Light up your holiday at the Celebration of Lights in the Historic Rivertown of Conway.  You’ll find a merry Christmas Village waiting for you and your family. Open to the public now through Christmas Eve. 

  • Now through Dec. 24, open 5:30 – 10 p.m. Thurs. – Sun. 
  • Nightly visits with Santa Thurs- Sat from 6:00–8:00 p.m.
  • Admission is $1 per person.

NIGHTS OF A THOUSAND CANDLES

Brookgreen Gardens, 1931 Brookgreen Dr., Murrells Inlet, SC 29576

Explore an illuminated wonderland while you celebrate Christmas at Brookgreen Gardens. Featuring warm cider, live holiday music, and lighted art installations, Nights of a Thousand Candles does not disappoint. There are more than 2,700 hand-lit candles and countless sparkling lights throughout the gardens. Be sure to check the live music schedule and dining options. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

  • Now through Jan. 1, various dates, 4:00 – 9:00 p.m.
  • Members: $30 for adults, $14 for children (ages 4–12).
  • Non-members: $35 for adults, $17 for children (ages 4–12).

CANDLELIGHT TOURS AT THE KAMINSKI HOUSE MUSEUM

Kaminski House Museum, 1003 Front St., Georgetown, SC 29440

Take a cozy candlelight tour of the Christmas decorations festooning the historic Kaminski House Museum.

  • Dec. 15,  5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Tickets $10 members/$15 non-members.
